Merry Christmas Everyone!

hope everyone is doing well. we got into afghanistan at about 11:10pm, Christmas Eve. we've moved into the buildings that are going to be our home for the next year, met most of the people that we'll be replacing and gotten out and walked the base today. it'll be okay. definately not all of the creature comforts of home, but we knew that before we got here. right now the heaters in our "house" work during the day when it's warm but not at night when it's freezing. we'll figure it out though.

anyways, just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and let ya'll know we made it here, safe and sound.

Gee Sean, I've been busy and out of the loop for a while, but been catching up "again" here for a while.

You bring home the true meaning of Christmas. You, and thousands of others, are literally hanging yourselves on a cross to make our nation a better place, and while that is Easter, without the birth at Christmas......

My Christmas is better knowing that folks like you are OK. Keep posting. A wonderful soldier that was a combat medic locally gets his pickup worked on in my shop. He's been home for a while, and it's been nice to see him in and out in civilian clothes.

Today, he came into the shop, back in uniform, so regal and so young. Not yet headed back, but now as a reserve, back in uniform and working more full time working on planes.

I just cannot believe that we are all so fortunate to have so many young men like he and you that go that extra mile even with so much hoopla going on in our media.

THANK YOU FOR STICKING IT OUT. Thank you in this holiday season for being that guy. My great great grandchildren will even benefit from your efforts, and my boys aren't even married yet :)

I agree with the others...give me an address, and I'll make sure that you get mail at mail call...even if it's stupid short funny stuff...

I was one of your first commenters, remember? (hehehe), I can be a great pen pal...

HAPPY NEW YEAR...Sounds to me from all of your recent posts, your head is on strong, and you are managing with great skill...keep it up :)
